The Beaut.ie Guide To Gorgeous
There have been a few efforts to translate success online into success in print in Ireland. The greatest and most long lasting of these has obviously been the Overheard in Dublin series of books and calendars.
But since this success, there has been little else. While bloggers have produced decent books, they have failed to set the charts alight. Until this year that is.
The Beaut.ie Guide to Gorgeous sold over 5500 copies in 2009 putting it firmly in the Top 20 Irish published books of the year (in fact in the Top Ten according to some measures). The blog is work of sisters, Kirstie and Aisling and Aisling is the author of the book. Beaut.ie is one of Ireland Top Blogs (8 according to Taint.org Ranking of Irish Blogs).
