World Book Day Is Coming: Thursday 4th March 2010

World Book DayWorld Book Day will take place on Thursday 4th March and every primary-school child in Ireland will receive a €1.50 book token. The token can be used to buy one of the six specially selected World Book Day Flip Books or put towards an other book or other book that costs more than €3.99.

World Book Day’s aim is to encourage a love of reading in the young. This year the campaign is backed by two innovative features, an website where authors read from the specially slected World Book Day titles, Read To A Million Kids, and a cross promotion with BookCrossing, a site that encourages readers to leave books in public places for others to find and enjoy.
