The winners of a new short story competition will be published in the RTÉ Guide and attend a writers’ workshop hosted by Penguin Ireland and Dublin City Libraries.

The workshop will feature panels and discussion with Patricia Deevy (Editorial Director, Penguin Ireland), Maria Dickenson (Head Buyer, Easons) and Cliona Lewis (Publicity Director, Penguin Ireland) along with authors Sinead Moriarty, Niamh Greene and Tara Heavey.

Entries must not have been previously published or broadcast and be 1,500 words or less. Entries can be sent to The Books Competition, RTÉ Guide, RTÉ, Donnybrook, Dublin 4. The closing date is Friday, 6th August.

The competition is being run by Penguin Ireland and RTÉ.
