Easons has launched its Christmas catalogue with a heavy emphasis on Children’s books and a large front of store 3 for 2 offer.
The catalogue is backed by heavy advertising across all media forms including an extensive TV advertising campaign.
Politics and current affairs make up a large part of the catalogue with Shane Ross and Nick Webb’s Wasters, Fintan O’Toole’s Enough Is Enough, John McGuinness and Naoise Nunn’s The House Always Wins, Dearbhaill McDonald’s Bust and Scandal Nation by Michael Clifford and Shane Coleman featuring in a very recession influenced 3 for 2 offer.
Five Irish chefs feature in the food and drink section, Paolo Tullio, Domini Kemp, Clodagh McKenna, Rachel Allen and Catherine Fulvio.
In total Irish based publishers account for some 65 of the 425 or so featured titles or about 15% of the catalogue.
