Charts: Top Ten Irish Ebooks March 9th 2012
These top ten lists carry huge caveats. First that they represent a shifting top ten recorded by IPN at a given time and do not reflect ebook sales over a longer period. Second that they do not indicate volume or value of sales. Thirdly and finally that although the do indicate the top ten at the time of recording, they are subject to change due to sales at any given time.

Not one of these ebook sales can be read on a Kindle. Plus, if between 80-90% of ebook sales are through Amazon for the Kindle, does this really tell us anything beyond the limited sales two marginal ebook retailers?
Adrian,
You are totally correct. Sadly, until you can tell me how to get an estimate of ebook sales on Kindle IN Ireland rather than for a certain category, there’s no way I can reflect those sales. The best I can do is display ebook sales as recorded by other retailers in the hope that:
a) Those sales reflect the sales on Amazon (Excluding self pubbed titles)
b) Those sales act as a comparison with the print sales of a given week.
For now, in the absence of proper data, and accepting that things are less than perfect, it’s the best I can do!

Apologies, Eoin, if what I said came across as a criticism – it wasn’t meant as such.
That’s okay, I’m TOO sensitive for me own good!
