Eason To Launch The Eason Leaf Ereader

Eason is to begin selling a new branded ereader, the Eason Leaf.

The device will cost €99 and the company boasts it will store thousands of books and has weeks of battery life. It will be released in early December according to the company.

The touchscreen device will have a 6-inch E ink screen and will feature wi-fi but not 3G connectivity.

Purchasers will be able to browse and buy ebooks directly from the Eason ebookstore on the device.

The move marks a step away from selling devices by the likes of Sony and other manufacturers.

No word yet on storage capacity (other than it will store thousands of ebooks), usb connectivity or who manufactures the device, but as soon as we hear we will update the story.
